Is nude the new black? With the way nude has been sweeping the style scene, it might just be. It started with the nude lip, which I first noticed a few years ago in Nylon magazine. The model was wearing MAC’s Fleshpot from the Heatherette collection. Almost instantly I noticed nude lipstick cropping up everywhere. It’s not a look everyone can pull off, but personally I love it.
My favorite nude trend, however, is the nude heel, as seen here on Gossip Girl star and style icon Blake Lively:
Wearing a nude heel makes Blake’s legs look like they go on for days (as if she needs any help!) This look does wonders for ladies that aren’t quite tall enough to be a top model, extending the leg and adding height to a petite frame. Recently, I purchased my first pair of nude heels from ASOS and can’t wait for them to arrive.

I purchased the Heartbreaker Bow Front Sandal. Although this color is listed as “pale pink”, it’s definitely a good choice for those of us who have light skin with pink undertones. The HALO Twist Front High Platform Sandal is a good choice for fair-skinned ladies with yellow or neutral undertones.

Beware, though, of importing fees. Personally I have never run into this problem but I would definitely check with your local post office about what fees they charge BEFORE placing an order.
