5 Stocking Stuffers for Under $20 (Plus 1)

It’s that time of year again. You know, when every beauty-lover’s focus shifts from Halloween to Christmas. Whether you’re looking for stocking stuffers or just little gifties, this list should guide you on your way. Here are our top 5 picks, plus one.

1. Philosophy Red Velvet Cake Stocking Stuffer Duo – $15 at www.philosophy.com – This set includes a 4 oz. shampoo, shower gel & bubble bath and a .5 oz flavored lip shine. Split them up or gift them together.

2. Benefit Lust Dusters Trio – $10 at www.sephora.com – These are shimmery loose powders that can be used for the eyes or face. GoGo Girl is a pale pink, Big Daddy is bronze, and Moon Doggie is mint green. Once again, these can be gifted individually or as a set.

3. Urban Decay Limited Duo – $14 at www.urbandecay.com – This is one you won’t want to let slip away! Urban Decay suggests layering Stagedive Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner over Covet 24/7 Eye Pencil, which are both gorgeous peacock greens. Snatch it up fast, because as it is listed under UD’s R.I.P. section, this product could disappear fast!

4. Carol’s Daughter Sugar Coated Sweethoneydip Bath Bomb – $7.50 at Macy’s – We love this because not only are they fairly inexpensive, but they LOOK yummy (although we advise against eating them.) They are described as, “A fizzy skin softner for your bath; infused with natural butters, essential oils and detoxifiers.” Chocolate, honey, and vanilla bean sounds delicious to us, but also check out their other scents.

5. Dior Best in Show Mini Mascara Duo – $18 at Sephora – This duo includes a .17 oz DiorShow mascara and a .17 oz DiorShow Blackout mascara. We think this is a perfect gift for any girl who wants to try DiorShow but is freaked out by the normal $24 price tag. Can once again be divided between two glam ladies or gifted together!

Dior Jazzclub Palette Review: Smoky Jazz

For this palette and I, it was love at first sight. I knew I had to have it, but did I want to drop $65 on a palette? It wouldn’t have been the first time. After weeks of debating, I finally gave in to my urges and picked it up at Sephora’s SoHo store.

Left to right, Dior’s Jazzclub Palette in Smoky Jazz includes black cream eyeliner, brow powder, a matte dark grey shadow, an iridescent olive-colored shadow, an iridescent silver shadow, and a glittery white shadow (or “top coat” as the palette labels it.) It also includes a double-ended sponge applicator and a double-ended angle brush and smudge brush.

Two downfalls of this palette: the liner is not creamy; it is chunky (as illstrated in the above photo.) The “top coat” shadow is also waaaaay too glittery for my taste. So I’ll use a different liner and a different shadow for my highlight, no big deal. Other than those two things, I love this palette. The shadows apply smoothly and have great pigmentation, not to mention they flatter my eye color. And the packaging, inspired by Dior’s Jazzclub clutch, is super cute.

There are a multitude of ways to wear this palette, but for this look, I used the silver shadow on my lid, the olive shadow in my crease, the dark grey shadow on my outer corner, and the white “top coat” on my inner corner.

The verdict? This palette gives us a great smokey eye that can be worn day or night and is totally glam. Like I said, I can get over the two downfalls because I love the colors and the look so much. I will go as far as to say that this palette is a must-have for fall. Go go get it!
